We do recommend having a stand-alone Maritime Cyber Risk Manual (covering cyber safety and cyber security). We provide a set of cyber security forms (meetings, reviews, reporting, maintenance, drills) as well as appendixes to indicate useful information. The manual is based on NIST Framework as recommended by the IMO and includes an introduction to the Cyber Risk Management Plan, Responsibilities in form of a RACI Chart, NIST Framework Matrix, Ship Vulnerabilities, Risk Management, company’s organisational measures, Technical Protection and Detection Measures, a contingency plan and verification review and improvement. It can be supplemented by Cyber Risk Management Software which incorporates vessel asset inventory and can produce a Cyber Risk Profile specific to the ship.
